Reading Scripture

How to use the Bible reader: book selection, chapter navigation, and verse interaction.

Selecting a book

Click the book name in the reader header to open the book selector. Books are organized by Old Testament, New Testament, and (if enabled) Apocrypha. You can search by name or scroll through the list.

Chapter navigation

Use the chapter grid to jump to any chapter, or the arrow buttons to move forward and backward. The left/right arrow keys also work.

Verse interaction

Click any verse number to select it. This opens the annotation toolbar where you can:

  • Highlight the verse in different colors
  • Add a personal note
  • Bookmark the verse
  • Open commentary for that verse
  • See OT→NT cross-references
Tip:You can select multiple verses by clicking additional verse numbers while one is selected.
