Use it free
No account and no token. Add the server URL and leave authentication off. You get public-domain Bible text (BSB, KJV, and WEB), cross-references, book introductions, the verse of the day, the Understanding the Trinity reading plan, and the John 1 commentary sample.
Server URL
https://rhemabible.co/api/mcp
Omit the token entirely. A wrong or revoked token does not fall back to the free library. The whole connection is rejected until you remove the header.
Use your Rhema account
Any Rhema account gets the rest of this library: commentary, lexicon, and grammar for every chapter, every reading plan, and your plan progress. CSB, NLT, and Study Chat stay in the Rhema app. Your billing tier is unchanged.
- Sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
- Open Settings and find Connect your AI. Create a token and copy the header value. You will not see the token again.
- In your client, set a request header named Authorization. The value must start with Bearer and then the token. Clients do not add that word for you.
Header value
Bearer YOUR_TOKEN
Do not put the token in the URL, in a chat message, or in a file you commit. Revoke it in Settings if you pasted it somewhere. Notes, highlights, and bookmarks stay off unless you check capture when you create the token. Reading plans can be marked complete either way.
Add the server
In your client, add a remote server named Rhema and paste the server URL. Leave authentication off for the free library. Rhema does not use a sign-in page for this connection.
For your account, add one request header. The name is Authorization. The value is the header value you copied, which already starts with Bearer. Clients do not add that word for you.
If the client stores the connection in a file, keep the token out of that file. Use the client's secret prompt or an environment variable. A 401 means the header was sent and the token is not live. Remove the header to go back to the free library.
First question
After the client shows Rhema as connected, ask it to use Rhema and to quote only what Rhema returns:
Prompt
Using Rhema, read John 1:1 and quote only the text Rhema returns.
Tools
Rhema tells the client to quote returned text and not to invent Greek or Hebrew.
